• On the Board of Trustees for 12 years, giving her a solid understanding of board governance and oversight. During this time, she was active on the Finance, Investments, Benefits and Dominican Heritage Committees of the Board.

• On the Aquinas College Foundation Board, giving her a true understanding of the important role of philanthropy.

A native Grand Rapidian, she was educated by the Dominican Sisters – Grand Rapids at Immaculate Heart of Mary and Catholic Central High School. She then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, a master’s degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan.
